As part of the European Heritage Days which took place on September 21 and 22, 2019, we had the pleasure of hosting the temporary exhibition on the canals of Burgundy, Nivernais and the Center produced by the Musée de la Batellerie in St-Jean-de-Losne. During this weekend, the Museum also offered to come and discover the world of inland waterway transport by taking advantage of the open doors of the ASTER, a wooden barge being restored by volunteers, as well as a guided tour of the Museum, which you can find all year round at 5 rue de la Liberté in St-Jean-de-Losne.

In addition to this, you need to know more about it.

We hope that other events in partnership with the Museum of the Boat Industry can be born in the future.

Photographic exhibition at the Salon Fluvial in St-Jean-de-Losne.

April 27/28, 2019

Our first exhibition presents the works of two amateur photographers, living the waterway in two different ways. We invited you to the Salon Fluvial to enter and share their perspective on a world that fascinates them so much: that of river transport.

Guillaume KIFFER is a collector, a passionate archivist and the grandson of a lock keeper. What fascinates him is not photography but the subject of his photos: inland waterways. With two collaborators they began to build a database on inland navigation boats, Guillaume plays a role of "image contributor" through his photographs and collections of old books.

Brigitte CHARRIOT is a teacher by trade and an artist at heart, she was attracted by "the sky, the color of the water, the reflections, the expanse and the space." Photography on board a boat allows him to see nature from another angle, with another eye.

We invite you to discover or rediscover this exhibition at the Pavillons des Escapades.
